There are many people who enjoy riding motorcycles in West Virginia. Many drivers recognize and respect motorcyclists just like any other vehicle. However, when a motorcycle is involved in a collision many times the rider or riders are injured, sometimes seriously. In some cases, these injuries can even be life altering.
Two people in West Virginia were injured and treated at a nearby hospital recently after a truck ran into the motorcycle on which they were traveling. The driver of the truck has not been named, however, authorities believe it may have been the same man who was arrested two days later for allegedly running a meth lab in his truck. The two victims were reportedly hit after the truck pulled out in front of them in an intersection. The extent of their injuries has yet to be reported.
The driver of the truck has allegedly admitted to operating the meth lab, however, no charges have reportedly been filed in the accident at this point, as authorities continue to gather evidence and information regarding the collision.
If this man should be found guilty of causing this accident, then the two people who were on the motorcycle may be entitled to restitution for their pain and injuries. Motorcyclists are often overlooked on the road and can therefore be involved in accidents for no fault of their own. If this is what happened in this instance, then it may be a good idea for the two injured riders to speak with a personal injury attorney.
