Auto accidents are an unfortunate part of life. Although most people try to be responsible and cautious drivers, inevitably accidents still occur all over the country including in West Virginia. Sometimes these car accidents can even involve death or serious injury and can change a person’s life forever.
Authorities are still gathering information and reviewing details as they try to piece together the cause of a fatal car crash in West Union recently. According to reports a car driven by a 30-year-old woman crossed a median after it lost control and slammed into another vehicle that was being driven by a 43-year-old man. A teenage girl who was riding in the car with the woman who died was taken to the hospital.
The man who was driving the car that was hit and his passenger, a 43-year-old woman, were airlifted to the hospital with what were reported to be critical injuries. It is not known at this time how the woman lost control of her vehicle and what other factors, if any, played a role in the accident.
The three people injured in this crash could be facing life altering pain and suffering. While it is not yet known the cause of the crash, if it’s determined that the woman caused the collision due to negligence or a careless act, then those who were injured may be entitled to compensation. An experienced auto accident attorney can help a person understand the important details and aspects of an auto accident injury, including how to deal with insurance companies who may be too quick to settle.
