Woman claims serious injuries after West Virginia crash

A woman in Mercer County claims she suffered serious injuries when she was rear-ended by another vehicle while driving on Route 105. According to a report, the woman was waiting to make a left turn, and was hit by the vehicle behind her.

She is now suing the man after she said he was negligent, drove at an excessive rate of speed and disregarded the woman's safety, among other things. When someone is driving, they must keep a proper distance from the other vehicles in front of them. Sometimes they might think they will be able to stop or aren't expecting the vehicle in front of them to do anything but continue down the road. This can cause a serious accident.

In this case the woman reportedly sustained serious injuries, but those injuries weren't listed in the report. Although injuries might not be specified in the report, a person can sustain serious head and neck injuries in a rear-end collision.

Whatever the reason for not being able to stop, many people who cause accidents are distracted and therefore negligent. It is the responsibility of each driver to ensure that they are doing their part to keep the roads safe.

When someone suffers severe injuries in an accident, they might be feeling hopeless and frustrated after receiving a medical bill. They might unable to work and unsure of how to pay for their expenses. Another driver's negligence shouldn't leave a person feeling that they have to take out money from their retirement accounts just to make ends meet.
