Car, fire truck involved in fatal West Virginia crash

A car and fire-truck collided in West Virginia over the weekend. According to a report, the car was trying to pass another vehicle. The vehicle entered the northbound lane, traveling south, and was unable to get back into the proper lane when a fire truck hit the car.

The fire truck was responding to a chimney fire. The report said that two of the teenagers involved died at the scene of the accident and the other died at a hospital. Three firefighters in the fire truck were treated at a hospital and released. Police and investigators will likely continue to investigate the accident.

In these cases, it is important that an investigation is thorough. While figuring out the exact cause of the accident can't undo it, it can help provide closure for families who have lost a loved one.

After a death in the family from a car accident, a loved one might choose to file a wrongful death lawsuit if they feel another person's negligence contributed to their loved one's death.

While this can be an emotional time for any family, it is important that families get the answers that they need. Sometimes families are unsure of the situation that resulted in their family member's death, and it is important for them to get closure.

An attorney in West Virginia can help represent a family in the investigation of the accident and ensure that their interests are protected. Many times insurance companies will be involved, complicating any situation and adding confusion at an already difficult time.
