Car crash costs 3 people their lives in West Virginia

Speeding is not just a violation of traffic laws -- it is also dangerous, as it may result in a vehicle accident in West Virginia. A car crash can easily cause people to suffer critical injuries or even lose their lives, depending on how severe the accident is. Three people in our state recently died in a vehicle crash in the area of Route 10.

The accident occurred on a recent Thursday morning. A 27-year-old man was driving his car when he breached the middle line of the road and ended up in another car’s path. The second vehicle’s driver avoided being hit but struck a guardrail. According to police, the man driving the first vehicle continued to head south and became involved in a head-on accident with a pickup truck.

The man operating the first vehicle died at the accident scene and so did his two passengers. The pickup truck driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Police said speed might have contributed to the crash.

The injured pickup truck driver and the family members of the dead passengers have the right to file liability claims related to the car crash. They can seek damages, and a properly presented claim may help them to cover any losses tied to the wreck and recognized under our state laws. Even though the man who is said to have caused the accident died, his estate may still be held liable. In addition, all separate owners of the vehicle that he was navigating may face claims. If speeding is documented as a causal factor in the West Virginia crash, this may be used as proof of negligence on the part of the driver.
