Walgreens may have dangerous or defective products

Donuts are a popular choice for breakfast for many West Virginia residents. Residents also tend to take multi-vitamins on a daily basis in order to stay healthy and maintain their energy. Although these items are not usually associated as dangerous or defective products, Walgreens has recently issued a recall for certain brands of both products.

Walgreens has recently issued two separate recalls for two different in-store products. The first pertains to some of the company's multi-vitamins that are targeted for women of 50 years of age or older. Walgreens has recalled roughly 17,000 bottles of Well at Walgreens vitamin bottles due to the fact that the tablets may be harmful to certain individuals. Apparently, the vitamins contain iron, which can be hazardous to young children if they were to accidentally ingest the vitamin. The affected bottles of multi-vitamins were sold during the first three months of 2015.

Walgreens also recalled some of their white powered mini-donuts. The reason for this recall was due to the potential of mold being present in the 11.5-ounce packages. Luckily, no illnesses have been reported at this time.

Whether it is vitamins, donuts, or something else entirely, manufacturers, sellers and companies have a duty to notify consumers of any threat to their safety. While the recalls were indeed made by Walgreens in these two instances, damage may have still occurred prior to this time. West Virginia residents who have been injured by dangerous or defective products may have had to face financial strain due to medical bills and time lost at work. Those who have suffered may be able to file a product liability lawsuit to recoup some of these costs while also holding the responsible party liable for their negligent actions.
