Kids' fishing toys among latest dangerous or defective products

Whether it is Christmas, a birthday or just because, parents are going to buy toys for their children. Sadly, dangerous or defective products exist out there, and this includes children's toys. In fact, West Virginia residents who have recently purchased fishing toys may want to check and see if their toy is from Juratoys.

The toy manufacturer has recently recalled some of its products for the risk of children choking on its pieces. Juratoys is recalling two of its fishing games that it sold at various retailers online and offline. The affected models are the Sardines and the Starfish. Apparently, there is a risk of the product separating and potentially causing a child to choke if ingested.

So far, there have been over 400 reports of the separation. Four of those incidents involved a child ingesting a piece of the game. Luckily, no serious injuries have been reported to Juratoys. Consumers can request a prepaid shipping envelope in order to return the game and then receive a $15 or $20 refund check depending on the game that was initially purchased.

The recall for these dangerous or defective products, as with any product recall, is ultimately meant to help protect children from suffering any injuries. However, not everyone is informed of the recall or the recall occurs too late. Whatever the case may be, West Virginia residents should know that they do have legal rights and may want to consider having them assessed. It may also be wise to seek out what legal remedies are available to hold a negligent manufacturer responsible and pursue compensation for one's injuries.
