Dangerous products designed for babies recalled

Finding out that one has defective products can naturally be alarming, especially if those products were purchased for infants to use. A few dangerous products for babies were recently recalled and may impact some West Virginia parents. These products include bedside infant sleepers, baby carriers, pacifier holders and rattles.

Nearly 500 Bednest infant sleepers have been recalled since they fail to meet mandatory requirements at the federal level. As a result, they pose a fall hazard to infants. The problem bedside sleepers were produced after July of 2014 and were sold online through the business's website for $400 to $500.

TwinGo baby carriers allow the wearer to carry up to two babies around his or her waist. The product has also been recalled after the company received 13 reports about the buckle breaking. The carriers, which were sold online as well as at boutique shops, thus pose a fall hazard to young children.

Additionally, almost 13,000 pacifier holders and more than 14,000 stuffed rattles from Little Wishes are being recalled. The pacifier holder poses a choking hazard since pieces of it may detach, and the rattle also poses a choking hazard since its seams may separate. These two Little Wishes products were made available at Hobby Lobby during the first few months of 2016.

When consumers in West Virginia buy products, they understandably expect the products to function properly and add value to their lives. Unfortunately, the opposite can take place if the products feature defects that end up causing harm to customers. In this situation, the injured victims have the right to file liability claims against the makers of the dangerous products, seeking damages that -- if awarded -- may help them to cover their related financial losses.
