Car wreck leads to 1 death, 4 injuries in West Virginia

A fatal accident recently took place in West Virginia. The car wreck occurred early in the morning on a recent Monday. A vehicle was torn in half as a result of the crash.

The vehicle crash occurred at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of a couple of roads and U.S. Route 119. According to authorities, one vehicle hit another broadside. The impact caused the second car to be cut in half.

Three individuals were ejected from the vehicle as a result of the impact. One of them died, while four other accident victims suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital. The crash caused the highway to be shut down for nearly six hours until officials could complete their investigation and remove the wreckage from the area.

The police investigation might reveal who was at fault in the fatal West Virginia car accident. If the person deemed to be at fault survived the car wreck, the injured victims may decide to file personal injury claims against this person, seeking damages. Likewise, the loved ones of the deceased victim may file a wrongful death suit. Even if the person who died in the crash is found to have caused the collision, this deceased person's estate may still be sued and so may any other individual who owned the car that the driver deemed responsible was driving at the time of the wreck. Liability needs to be established in a manner that pleases the civil court before any monetary damage claims will be adjudicated.
