Motorcycle accident claims life of woman

A woman has passed away following a West Virginia vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The motorcycle accident occurred on a Saturday earlier in the month of August. The woman was pronounced deceased on a recent Friday.

According to police, the 46-year-old woman was riding on a motorcycle that was going south along Kentucky 7. All of a sudden, an SUV breached the road's center line. The SUV then crashed into the motorcycle.

The woman and the male driver of the motorcycle, who was also 46, were ejected from the bike as a result of the collision. The man was pronounced deceased at the accident scene, while the woman was pronounced dead almost two weeks later. The individual who was driving the SUV, a 42-year-old woman, was in critical condition following the motor vehicle crash and was transported to the hospital via helicopter. No update was provided on her status.

The surviving loved ones of the 46-year-old woman who recently passed away in the West Virginia motorcycle accident may opt to file a wrongful death claim against the SUV, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. If the SUV driver ends up dying, or if it is determined that the SUV driver has died as a result of the crash, a lawsuit may still be filed against her estate and against any separate owner of the SUV. Competent proof of negligence is needed to establish liability in this type of vehicle accident case before a civil court judge will determine claims for financial damages.
