Dave is a lifelong resident of West Virginia and has rich family history of attorneys practicing throughout the State of West Virginia.  Dave attended West Virginia University, earning a bachelor’s degree in economics.  Following a brief stent working in the financial services industry, Dave fulfilled his lifelong dream of continuing in his family’s footsteps and went on to attend West Virginia University’s College of Law where he earned his doctorate of jurisprudence.  While in law school, Dave was the recipient of the Judge William M. Kidd Memorial Law Scholarship as well as CALI awards (highest grade in the class) in Evidence and Appellate Advocacy.

After completing law school, Dave spent approximately the first seven years of his legal career in civil litigation defense firms.  During this time, Dave gained valuable experience from a defense standpoint and was heavily involved in litigating medical malpractice claims brought against healthcare entities and physicians, as well as wrongful death and personal injury claims.  Dave gained significant litigation and courtroom experience and has tried medical malpractice cases on behalf of healthcare providers.  After becoming frustrated with the lack of protection afforded to the injured citizens of the State of West Virginia, Dave decided to use his experience and unique litigation perspectives to pursue the rights of injured West Virginians.

Dave currently resides in Charleston, West Virginia with his wife Katie and their newest addition to the family, Savannah, a golden retriever.  In his spare time, you can usually find Dave at WVU sporting events or helping his wife with her internet boutique.
