West Virginia woman files lawsuit after being injured in crash

| Jun 13, 2013 | Car Accidents

With so many vehicles on the road in West Virginia, unfortunately accidents happen from time to time. Sometimes these collisions happen because of simple mistakes, however, some accidents can be avoided if drivers take more caution and care.

A West Virginia woman suffered several injuries when the car she was riding in was hit by another vehicle that crossed into the lane already occupied by the car in which the injured woman was riding. The women suffered several different injuries, including a knee contusion, neck sprain, numerous abrasions and shoulder pain.

The woman is suing the driver of the other vehicle, as well as Four Paws Pet Salon LLC. The driver of the car in question was driving a vehicle owned by Four Paws when the car accident occurred. Four Paws has been named in the suit because the woman who allegedly caused the crash was actively engaged in her job at the time of the collision. The injured woman is asking for both punitive and compensatory damages.

If a person is injured in an auto accident caused by someone else’s negligence then he or she could be entitled to receive compensation for the pain, suffering and loss caused by the accident and subsequent injuries. If one of the vehicles involved is a commercial vehicle of any kind, then the business owner may also be responsible for any damages or injuries that occur. Speaking with an auto accident attorney could be a good idea in order to make sure one gets the proper help.
