Truck accident involving 2 cars leads to injury in West Virginia

Having a run-in with another car while on the road naturally is a startling experience for any driver. However, colliding with a semi-truck may be even more shocking and distressing for the driver. This is because the sheer size of a big rig, which easily towers over cars and many other vehicles, automatically makes it significant threat on the road. Serious injuries may potentially result from a truck accident in West Virginia.

A recent crash in West Virginia involved two cars and a semi-truck. The accident took place on Route 19 and Route 460. The crash occurred when a woman who was driving a car was attempting to turn into a parking lot.

At that point, the semi-truck struck her vehicle. The truck then ended up hitting another car. The individual inside this second car was trapped, so officials had to cut this person out of the automobile. This individual suffered serious injuries, while the driver of the truck and the first car were not seriously injured in the crash.

If an investigation uncovers who was allegedly at fault in the accident, this person may be held liable for the serious injuries caused by the truck accident. The injured party may choose to file a civil lawsuit against this driver, seeking financial damages that may help to cover hospital bills and other financial losses tied to the crash. In order to prevail in court, the plaintiff must be able to prove that the injuries stemming from the crash indeed were the result of the negligent actions of other parties involved in the West Virginia wreck.
