Car crash results in injuries to 2 in West Virginia

It's no secret that a car wreck can cause serious injuries -- broken bones, internal injuries, spinal problems and even injuries to the brain. This is why a car crash in West Virginia may have major long-term consequences for a person who suffers injuries. Financial damages certainly can't eradicate the physical and emotional trauma associated with injury accidents, but they might be helpful for addressing emotional distress as well as pain and suffering. It also can help to cover any medical costs and other monetary losses stemming from the tragic situation.

A single-vehicle crash recently took place in West Virginia. Dispatchers for 911 got a call during the night hours after the crash occurred. Two people suffered injuries as a result of the collision.

The two individuals had to be transported to the hospital. In fact, one was flown by helicopter. An update on their conditions was not recently available.

The person who was driving the vehicle involved in the single-car collision may face liability claims for the second individual's injuries. The injured passenger indeed has a right to sue the driver, seeking monetary damages, based on proof of negligence that is deemed to have been a causal factor in the car crash and that injuries that resulted. This is particularly true if the driver was speeding, driving while distracted or engaging in some other form of negligent behavior behind the wheel. A civil court in West Virginia will ultimately decide claims for financial damages if liability is adequately established in this type of case, according to our personal injury laws.
