Car wreck in West Virginia results in 2 injuries

It can be a shock to learn that one’s family members have just been involved in a vehicle accident. Learning that the car wreck was a head-on collision may spark even more panic in a person. This is because these kinds of accidents involve sudden impacts that can lead to critical injuries for any involved West Virginia residents.

Two people recently suffered injuries as a result of this type of crash in West Virginia. The accident happened on Sunday. It took place on Route 16 in the late morning.

The West Virginia State Police, along with sheriff department officials and a fire department responded to the crash. Police said the two people who were injured in the head-on wreck were taken to a hospital by ambulance. There were children involved in the crash, but it is unclear from the initial reports if any of them suffered injuries.

It’s also unclear how the head-on crash happened, although a police investigation may provide further details. In addition, the family of the injured victims might benefit from having an independent investigation of the accident conducted. If it is documented that one motorist drove negligently in a way that caused the crash, proof of this may be presented in civil court in an attempt to hold the driver responsible for the resulting injuries. When a personal injury claim is filed against a driver in West Virginia, liability needs to be established based on the court’s strict standards before a judge will adjudicate damage claims. Financial compensation awarded in such a case may help with hospital costs and other losses incurred as a result of the car wreck.
