Motorcycle crash leads to 1 injury in West Virginia

| Aug 16, 2014 | Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcyclists are at risk for suffering serious injuries if they are involved in vehicle crashes in West Virginia. This is because, other than helmets, bikers do not have much to protect them from the impact of other vehicles on the roads. If these individuals are injured due to another driver’s negligence, they have the right to seek the reimbursement of monetary damages connected to a motorcycle crash, which may provide a sense of closure regarding the traumatizing ordeal.

A rider on a motorcycle was recently involved in an accident in the area of U.S. Route 60. The accident occurred on a Sunday night. According to police, the person on the bike collided with a passenger truck.

The incident happened near a Kroger grocery store, authorities said. The motorcyclist suffered injuries as a result of the collision. It remains unclear following the crash whether or not the truck driver will face charges in the incident.

A police investigation may help uncover the cause of the crash. However, even if the police’s initial evidence makes authorities think the accident took place in a certain manner, the injured motorcyclist may also benefit from letting an independent investigation be completed regarding the circumstances surrounding the motorcycle crash. If it appears that the passenger truck driver caused the accident because of careless driving, the victim might opt to file a personal injury claim against him or her. A successful outcome may provide the accident victim with a desperately needed monetary recovery following the costly crash in West Virginia.
