Kraft recalls millions of dangerous or defective products

Anything that is purchased in West Virginia and throughout the rest of the country can be deemed a defective product. When most people think about dangerous or defective products, they tend to think about cars and appliances. However, defective food products are becoming more and more common. Whether it is an airbag defect or a problem with the quality of a food, defective products can be very dangerous and cause serious injuries to consumers.

More than 240,000 cases of macaroni and cheese produced by Kraft Foods has recently been recalled. These cases contain at least 6.5 million boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. The reason for the recall is because some of the boxes could contain pieces of metal.

Apparently, eight consumers took action and contacted Kraft to inform them about the defective product. Luckily, at the time of the recall, no consumers had suffered any injuries. Kraft has asked consumers to not eat any of their macaroni and cheese sold in 7.25-ounce boxes with details matching those in the recall. The use-by date of the affected products is between Sept. 18 and Oct. 11, 2015. The affected products seem to only be the original flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.

With food being a daily requirement, consumers in West Virginia should not have to worry about whether their foods are going to cause illnesses or inflict harm in any way. Consumers who are injured by dangerous or defective products need to be aware of the fact that they have legal rights. It is possible to file a lawsuit in civil court in order to seek just compensation for harm caused by a dangerous product.
