Car accident leads to 3 injuries in West Virginia

An accident recently occurred in West Virginia, leaving multiple people with injuries. In a similar situation, the victims of a car accident have the right to seek to hold accountable the driver deemed at fault in the crash. Even though monetary compensation cannot reverse the injuries caused by a car crash, it can help injured parties to move forward after an accident.

The recent crash took place on Interstate 64. According to police, a 55-year-old man was driving a truck. He suddenly lost control of the vehicle.

After losing control, the man reportedly struck a car that a 65-year-old man was driving. The first vehicle continued in its destructive path and hit a cement truck that a 59-year-old man was operating. All three drivers suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital. Police said they believed a medical condition caused the wreck, but the accident remains under investigation.

The man believed to have caused the crash might face legal claims filed by the two other injured parties. These injured individuals have the right to seek the reimbursement of monetary damages resulting from the car accident. It is worth noting that even if initial evidence in West Virginia leads authorities to believe that an accident was not the result of negligence, victims of the accident might benefit from choosing to have an independent investigation completed regarding all circumstances surrounding the collision. Liability must be established by a preponderance of evidence before a civil court judge will award compensation for financial damages in this type of case.
