Truck accident causes injuries to woman

One woman recently suffered injuries in a vehicle accident involving a truck in West Virginia. The head-on truck accident took place along West Virginia State Route 80. It occurred around 10:30 a.m.

Authorities said the state's department of transportation stopped southbound traffic on the state route. Purportedly, the accident happened because a company truck was not able to slow down quickly enough to stop without hitting another company truck that had stopped ahead of him. The truck trying to avoid the collision allegedly entered the lane heading north and smashed head-on into the woman's vehicle.

Police reported that a woman was driving a Jeep in the lane going north. The truck that hit her also struck a guardrail and travelled another 70 feet before it came to a stop. As it did, the truck pushed the woman's Jeep into the other company truck that was sitting in traffic. The woman suffered injuries as a result of the vehicle wreck and was taken to the hospital.

The woman who suffered injuries in the West Virginia truck accident may choose to file a personal injury claim against the driver of the truck deemed to have caused the accident; the driver's employer may also be sued. Competent proof of negligence is necessary in order to establish liability in this type of vehicle accident case. A financial award in a case that is successfully fought may help to cover the woman's hospital bills, the loss of wages and other losses tied to the vehicle collision. It may also help to address pain and suffering as well as emotional distress caused by the accident.
