Bicyclists in West Virginia may be using wheel hubs that were recently found to pose a safety hazard. About 57,000 Zipp wheel hubs for high-end bicycles have been recalled. Officials said these defective products may fail and thus possibly cause a collision.

Individuals who lose loved ones due to a nursing home's negligence have the right to seek justice in West Virginia. In some cases, nursing home residents lose their lives due to the injuries suffered from falls. In one case in another state, one woman died due to the alleged carelessness of a nursing facility. The independent administrator of the woman's estate has now sued the nursing home.

Evenflo booster seats recalled as dangerous products

Consumers with young children in West Virginia may be driving around with child safety seats that are defective according to their manufacturer. The company Evenflo recently decided to recall more than 56,000 of its safety seats. The dangerous products are being recalled because children who are curious may end up loosening the internal harness, thus increasing their risk of injury during a vehicle crash.

Malpractice suit can stem from bed sores, other health issues

When a nursing home's staff fail to properly care for the facility's residents, a resident may end up losing his or her life, which is grounds for litigation in West Virginia. The loss of life in a nursing home can easily occur due to falls or bed sores, for example. One woman in another state recently filed a liability lawsuit against a nursing home where her loved one eventually died due to multiple health problems, alleging neglect.

One woman in another state claimed she was injured at the hands of a surgeon, and she filed a medical malpractice suit. A jury recently awarded the woman $1.52 million in the case involving surgical errors.

Walmart's alleged dangerous property conditions lead to fall

When people in West Virginia are hurt on a business property due to the carelessness of the property owner, they have the right to seek to hold the property owner accountable. In another state, one woman recently said she suffered injuries at a Walmart because of the store's dangerous property conditions. She has thus filed a premises liability suit against the business.
