Defective products by Tommee Tippee include food warmers

Parents of babies in West Virginia may be impacted by a recent recall of baby products manufactured by the company Tommee Tippee. A food and bottle warmer is currently being recalled, with nearly 250,000 units being affected. Previously, the company issued a recall of some of its sippy cups after it determined them to be defective products.

Back in February, parents became outraged after discovering mold in the tops of the bottles designed for toddlers. The next month, the company provided customers with complementary valve replacements. Then, a recall was issued for these sippy cups in May.

The newest product to be recalled, the food and bottle warmer, apparently features a safety issue posing a fire hazard. Specifically, the problem is an electrical issue, which the company said was the result of its external supplier's failure to obey the company's instructions. As a result, the device's safety features may not work properly. These features are intended to prevent issues with overheating if an electrical fault occurs with the device. The electrical warmer that is being recalled is white in color and features a dial that is gray.

Customers who end up being harmed by defective products in the state of West Virginia have the right to file liability claims, seeking damages. An understanding of what facts have to be proved is likely necessary to succeed in this type of civil court case. Liability needs to be established in a manner that pleases the court before a judge will determine damage claims.
