Thom Boggs
Thom is an attorney with Warner Law Offices. Thom grew up in Huntington, West Virginia, and has spent nearly every day of his life in the Mountain State. Before going to law school, Thom was a Navy Corpsman, a Master Electrician and a Litigation Paralegal. These experiences give Thom a unique perspective when helping clients face the challenges of the legal system.
Since graduating law school, Thom has dedicated his entire career to representing injured people in West Virginia and Kentucky. From the depths of the Upper Big Branch coal mine to factory floors and interstate highways, he has helped thousands of families obtain justice and compensation for the wrongful death and catastrophic injury of their loved ones. Over the course of his career, Thom has tried cases to jury verdict in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. Prior to joining Warner Law Offices, Thom was a partner with Duffield, Lovejoy & Boggs in Huntington.
Thom is a leader in the West Virginia trial lawyer community. He serves on the Executive Committee of the West Virginia Association for Justice, where he helps guide the organization and its efforts to preserve and improve the civil justice system and to promote safe workplaces, safe products and services, quality healthcare and a clean environment. Over the years, Thom has organized dozens of Continuing Legal Education seminars and has given many lectures on topics from law practice to legal technology. In 2023, the WVAJ honored Thom with its Stanley E. Preiser Member of the Year Award.
Throughout his life, Thom has been actively involved in his local community. He has served as a volunteer and on the Boards of Cabell Huntington Coalition for the Homeless (Harmony House), Tri-State Local Foods (The Wild Ramp), Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition, and Huntington Outdoor Theater. Currently, Thom is an active member of the Board for Hope in the Hills, where he helps produce the annual Healing Appalachia concert which funds the mission of supporting communities of recovery to help build a more prosperous, healthy and sustainable Appalachia free from addiction. Also, on Memorial Day weekend each year, Thom is part of the team behind Hooligans Homecoming, an all-day concert featuring local 80’s metal musicians in support of the Facing Hunger Food Bank and Little Victories Animal Rescue.
Thom lives in Huntington with his wife (and high-school sweetheart) Stacie and their 2 cats. Together, they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Thom grew up at bluegrass festivals around the area and his favorite vacation destination remains the mountains and streams of Appalachia. When not practicing law, Thom is an avid reader. He can also be found mountain biking, producing live music events, playing music on stages around the area, or spending time with his wife and family.
