Warner Law Offices offers a big “thank you!” to Operation Giving Grace – a new street ministry of Allens Fork Community Church. The mission of Operation Giving Grace is to go into the hedges and alleyways of downtown Charleston, seeking out those in need of the blessings of Christ.
And, of course, we thank our own Mandy Carpenter, who serves others in a big way by taking part in Operation Giving Grace. Read more about Mandy’s story below.
Serving the Homeless in Charleston
The people of Operation Giving Grace bring the message of Hope and Grace through the teachings of the Gospel, while providing the homeless of Charleston with essential supplies to meet their basic, everyday needs.
The inaugural trip in mid-October touched the lives of 100 people living on the street with “blessing bags”. These bags contained coats, gloves and blankets – perfect for the season. And in mid-November, Operation Giving Grace went out into the community once again, passing out another 100 bags filled with tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, hand wipes, snacks, gloves, socks, lip balm, and hot-hands.
God Gets the Credit
When asked about their works, the members of Operation Giving Grace give all the thanks to God, choosing to focus on their own blessings and how fortunate they are to be able to meet some of the basic needs of those who have so little.
We’re Very Proud of One of Our Own: Mandy Carpenter
Mandy Carpenter, our receptionist and valued member of Warner Law Offices, is a member of Operation Giving Grace, and is among those who continue the mission of Operation Giving Grace on a weekly basis.
Mandy helps provide coats, blankets, and hot meals to homeless people right here in our community who need help and who are blessed to cross Mandy’s path. We’re so proud of Mandy and the good works of Operation Giving Grace.
