While many people are preoccupied with getting to work on time or meeting a tight work deadline, people with injuries to the spinal cord may be focused on simply getting their shoes tied or struggling to use the restroom. Right now, since treatments for massive internal bleeding are lacking, these platelets are drawing attention in the medical field.
People in West Virginia may find hope in knowing that researchers are working hard to improve people’s chances of survival when serious car accidents leading to internal bleeding happen. However, an accident survivor may suffer spinal cord injury that prevents them from being able to live normally.
